COVID-19 cases back near 900 with 23 deaths reported

Mississippi’s total of presumptive cases of COVID-19 now stands at 37,542 after the Mississippi Health Department reported 862 newly identified cases on Tuesday.
This comes after last week’s daily average of 769 per day was the highest since the pandemic hit Mississippi officially in March.
The verifiable single-day high for number of cases is 1,092 which was reported June 25.
