Pearl River women qualify for College National Finals Rodeo
SUMMARY: The Pearl River Community College rodeo team had a successful weekend at Northwest, with the men's team finishing sixth and the women's team finishing second. The women's team also secured the Ozark Region Reserve Champion title, earning them a spot in the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper. Kate Eiland was named the All-Around Champion and tied for first in breakaway roping. Erin McLaughlin, Juliana Jennings, and others also performed well in breakaway roping. Kate Eiland and Bryson Crawford advanced to the championship round in team roping. Overall, the team had a strong showing and is looking forward to the upcoming finals.

CASA of South Mississippi’s 11th Annual Poker Run set for next Saturday, June 22nd in Bay St. Louis @ Dan B’s
SUMMARY: CASA of South Mississippi will host its 11th Annual Poker Run, sponsored by Casano Law Firm, Lindsey Lind Richard of Coldwell Banker Alfonso Realty, and Parker Contracting, LLC, on June 22, 2024, at Dan B Murphy's Restaurant & Bar in Bay St. Louis. Participants can pre-register at the CASA office or register on the day starting at 12 PM. The event includes various stops, such as The Blind Tiger, Cuz's Old Town Oyster Bar & Grill, and Daiquiri Shak, with a live auction following the Poker Run. West Harrison teenager Kinsley McBride earned the right to compete in the National Junior High Rodeo Finals in Des Moines, Iowa
