First ever STEM Night held at Grenada High School
SUMMARY: Grenada High School hosted its first STEM night, offering students and parents a chance to have fun while learning about science, technology, engineering, and math. Magic Monday: Mississippi Adventures
SUMMARY: Magic Monday is a weekly summer event with this week's theme being Mississippi Adventures. Activities included painting Mississippi clay ornaments, watercoloring the Denzel Carousel, and creating magnolias. Parents and guardians also participated, learning about Mississippi's hidden gems. The focus is on both children and adults experiencing native Mississippi attractions such as the Key Brothers exhibit, the Red Hot Café, and Bonita Lakes. Next week's theme is Science Lab. The Mississippi Children's Museum (MCM) is open Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Local Sam's Club supports the children.

MCM-Meridian hosts its 2nd annual Juneteenth Kidzone Festival
SUMMARY: To mark the start of Juneteenth weekend, the Mississippi Children's Museum of Meridian hosted its second annual Juneteenth Kids Zone Festival. This community event allowed children and families to celebrate, learn about Juneteenth history, and explore a new environment. From 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., activities included face painting, chalk art, storytime by celebrity readers, various games, and cultural dances by Inspire Walker and her team. Inspire Walker emphasized the importance of such events for children's exposure to diverse experiences. The festivities continue with a concert at City Hall's lawn and a fireworks show at 10:45 p.m.

Meridian Community College offers unique Canning Classes this Summer
