LSU transfer Hailey Van Lith to visit Mississippi State, reconnect with former coach this weekend
SUMMARY: Hailey Van Lith, a prominent name in the transfer portal and former LSU guard, will visit Mississippi State this weekend and reunite with MSU head coach Sam Purcell, who previously coached her at Louisville. A top-10 prospect out of high school, Van Lith's scoring average dipped from 19.7 to 11.6 points per game in her transition from Louisville to LSU, but she remains highly sought-after. With four NCAA tournament appearances, including an Elite Eight, Van Lith could fill the gap left by Bulldog guard Mjracle Sheppard, who entered the transfer portal. The visit could signal a strategic move for Purcell's team.
