Two dead, deputy injured in Stone County shooting
SUMMARY: Two people died and a deputy was injured during a shooting in Stone County, Mississippi. The incident occurred in the 1500 block of U.S. 49 in Perkinston on March 10. A Stone County deputy responded to a domestic violence call and was shot by the suspect. The deputy then fired back at the suspect, resulting in the suspect's death from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Another individual was found deceased at the scene, believed to be connected to the suspect. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is looking into the officer-involved shooting and will report their findings to the Attorney General's Office.
