Latest federal funding package allocates another $7.5 million for Hattiesburg projects

SUMMARY: The Departments of Justice, Commerce, Agriculture, and Transportation will continue running through September. A bill allocates $7.5 million for road projects in Hattiesburg. The bill also includes final levels for various projects in the federal budget. One on Eagle One Mega Site in Forrest and Lamar counties receives pre-engineering work funding. Barker thanked Congressional for their assistance in securing and federal funding for projects in the area. He emphasized the importance of advocates in D.C. to the city's success.
