Hub City looking to add HPD mural

SUMMARY: A primary election for the fourth district is being held on March 12th in Hattiesburg. The is looking to add some art inside the H-P-D safety complex, and has applied for a $25,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts to pay for a mural. Toby Barker says that a new mural would go a long way in promoting community policing and neighborhood pride. Taxpayers have spent $30 million to build a -of-the-art facility for the department and municipal court. The city would also put up $25,000 in matching funds for the mural if accepted.

The City of Hattiesburg is looking to add some art inside of the HPD safety complex.

Seven rescued by law enforcement after being stuck on sandbar in Monroe County
