Hinds County prepares for Tuesday’s election
SUMMARY: Hinds County officials are preparing for the upcoming primary election to avoid the ballot shortages that occurred during the general election in November. Mistakes in voter data led to the shortage of ballots, causing frustration among voters. Election officials have acknowledged technical mishaps and insufficient training that contributed to the issue. Both Democrats and Republicans are expecting high voter turnout and are urging their supporters to cast their votes in the upcoming election on March 12th. Absentee voting is currently available and mail-in votes must be postmarked by Election Day. Officials are confident they are better prepared this time around to avoid a repeat of the chaos.
