Woman dies after experiencing medical emergency while driving in Jackson

JPS athletics director Daryl Jones retires
SUMMARY: Daryl Jones, the Athletics Director of Jackson Public Schools (JPS), is retiring after four years in the position, with his last day on June 30th. Jones has a storied history with JPS and Jackson State, where he won a SWAC Championship as a player. He became the head coach at Jim Hill in 1996 and is one of only two coaches to win the Blitz 16 Coach of the Year award twice, with two different programs. Jones also coached at Jackson State, Canton, and Columbus. His retirement signals the arrival of a new figure in JPS athletics.

One in custody, one shot following shooting in Winona
SUMMARY: Breaking news: Law enforcement is responding to a shooting on Sterling Avenue in Wiona. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Department, Wiona police, and Carroll County Sheriff's Department are on the scene.
