Gulfport federal jury convicts man of sex trafficking
SUMMARY: Michael Fulcher, a man in Las Vegas, was found guilty of sex trafficking, conspiracy to commit sex trafficking, and interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution. His co-defendant, Jonzie Hamilton, was found guilty of interstate transportation for purposes of prostitution. Fulcher used sexual violence, threats of harm, and coercion to force a woman into commercial sex. He lured her to his home, sexually assaulted her, and then worked with Hamilton to continue the exploitation in California and other states. Fulcher required the victim to send him all of her earnings and threatened her to control her. The Justice Department is committed to prosecuting human traffickers and bringing justice to their victims.

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies
SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Air Force cadets from the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby featured Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his training and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
