Why We Report – Lucas Warren 11/24
SUMMARY: My favorite part of the job is discovering hidden stories, even in seemingly mundane events like a board of supervisors meeting. I believe that with a little extra effort, there’s always an interesting angle to uncover. For example, during college, I wrote about a vintage store, initially anticipated to be a simple feature. However, I learned that the 18-year-old owner was still in high school, revealing a much deeper narrative. Finding these layered stories truly excites me and fuels my passion for storytelling.

Diamondhead flood insurance premiums lower starting in April
SUMMARY: Residents of Diamond Head will benefit from a 10% discount on flood insurance premiums starting April 1, following the city achieving a class 8 rating in the National Flood Insurance Program’s Community Rating System.
