Rev. Sharpton to deliver eulogy at Dexter Wade’s funeral
SUMMARY: Reverend Al Sharpton is set to deliver the eulogy for Dexter Wade at his funeral at New Horizon Church International in Jackson, Miss., on November 20. Wade was fatally struck by a Jackson police cruiser in March and was subsequently buried in an unmarked pauper's grave without his family's knowledge until August. Civil rights attorney Ben Crump released initial autopsy results by Dr. Frank Peretti showing multiple blunt force injuries and indicated Wade's body was run over and not embalmed. Sharpton and Crump have urged the Justice Department to investigate the Jackson Police Department's actions surrounding Wade's death.
