Noxubee County library begins process to restore original building
SUMMARY: The Noxubee County Library in Mississippi is receiving nearly half a million dollars in funding for repairs and renovations. The library, which was originally built as a county jail in 1907, has been converted into a library since 1984. The funding comes from a grant provided by the Mississippi Department of Archives and History, as well as a $100,000 donation from the Harold Gibson Memorial Foundation. The restoration process will be done in several phases, with the first phase focusing on repairing the roof. The project has a deadline of 200 days for completing the roof restoration.
