The ultimate goal is to make flood insurance more affordable and accessible. Billy Hughes noted that efforts to address the watershed problems of Turkey Creek have been ongoing for over 20 years, and the current design progress represents a significant step forward. Councilwoman Ella Homes, Heinz highlighted the broader impacts of the beyond preventing flood , including financial relief for homeowners affected by rising insurance costs. The project aims to alleviate flooding in the Turkey Creek watershed, providing a roadmap to solve long-standing water issues and improve residents' financial situation.
