Friday November 10th, 2023: A cold front has been slowly inching its way through the local area today and currently stretches along the I-59 corridor southwestward to near the mouth of the Atchafalaya River. The front will continue to sink southward through tomorrow morning, eventually stalling over the northern Gulf. Upper flow will become parallel to the boundary, and will stop its' forward momentum. Despite the surface boundary moving into the Gulf, winds off the surface will continue to have a southerly component to them, with the 850mb front stalling out over northern Louisiana and central Mississippi. This will result in continued isentropic upglide through the remainder of the weekend and should keep conditions cloudy and cool with occasional light rain. As always: A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition. Be nice to each other. – Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen
