FEMA updates on recovery efforts in Moss Point following tornado

SUMMARY: Six months after the hit , recovery efforts have been successful. Individual assistance grant funds totaling over $3.1 million have been provided to people in and Jasper counties. In , over $2.2 million in grant assistance has been approved for homeowners and renters, with more than $1.9 million in housing assistance. Challenges for survivors include dealing with damages, finding temporary housing, and coping with personal and emotional losses. FEMA continues to and assistance on the ground in Mississippi, with over 200 staff members available. Survivors can access aid and through disasterassistance.gov or the FEMA hotline.

Menge Avenue Interchange Update
