Southern Miss looks to start winning streak with Thursday game against Louisiana
SUMMARY: Southern Miss is coming off its first FBS win of the season, with a new-look offense that has been explosive in the last two weeks. They are looking to keep the momentum going against Louisiana on Thursday. Head coach Will Hall believes it is a good chance for his team to find consecutive victories for the first time since late 2022. One of the keys will be the offensive line opening holes for running back Frank Gore, Jr. The starting quarterback Billy Wiles has thrown for 1,746 yards with nine touchdowns and six interceptions through eight games. The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. CT.
