Community Health Water Testing
SUMMARY: A group of researchers from Brown University's Community Noise Lab is conducting water testing in Jackson, Mississippi after last year's water crisis. On Christmas Day, the entire city was put under a boil water notice, leaving many without access to clean water. The research group aims to serve the community and ensure a healthier environment. Christina Nikka, a researcher from the lab and a Jackson native, has laid out testing kits for residents to check if their water is safe to drink. The crisis motivated the lab to provide much-needed water testing to the community.
