Governor Reeves announces 15 new RESTORE Act Projects totaling more than $44 Million

SUMMARY: Mississippi has approved over $44 million for 15 new restoration projects on the 's Coast under the RESTORE Act. This includes investments in the revitalization of the Hancock County Fairgrounds, improvements to the - International Airport and a coastal education program for high schools. These projects add to the total of over $227m in restoration projects approved during Governor Reeves' administration. The initiatives are expected to attract more visitors, enhance coastal habitats and improve .

USM Army and Air Force ROTC programs host Commissioning Ceremonies

SUMMARY: Ten Army and three Force cadets from the of Southern Mississippi (USM) ROTC were commissioned as Second Lieutenants. The Army ceremony at Camp Shelby Major General Janson D. Boyles, while the Air Force ceremony on campus featured Brigadier General Mary-Kathryn Haddad. LTC Juan J. Ortiz praised the Army cadets for their leadership, and Lt. Col. Sheena Puleali'i commended the Air Force cadets for their commitment. Distinguished Military Graduate 2LT Jeremiah J. Parker expressed pride in his and future goals. Commissioned cadets include 2LT Miruna Avram, 2LT Braxton Bailey, 2LT Jada Fairley, among others.
