Board removes dozen titles from Columbia-Marion County Library

SUMMARY: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has awarded a $50,000 grant to the Houston Career and Technology Education Center for renovations to its engineering lab. The funds will be used to upgrade air conditioning units and the roof, enhancing student comfort and learning conditions. This improvement will prevent the need for students to relocate during hot summer months. The renovations are set to be completed by August 2025. TVA, along with its partner, Natches Trace Electric Power Association, is dedicated to supporting local educational initiatives.

Additionally, the Annual Pittsboro Day in Calhoun County will offer family-friendly entertainment. Fans of dinosaurs can enjoy the Fossil Road Show at the Orand-Donn Museum in Tupelo, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday.
