SUMMARY: Seven schools in Jackson came together for a road cleanup on Percy V Simpson Drive. Along with picking up trash, students were able to create art from the trash to discourage littering. Students were encouraged to help with daily trash removal and be an example for others. Principal Tonya Mason believes that volunteering not only inspires others but also inspires the students themselves. The school plans to continue holding volunteer events to promote pride in the community and help the city as a whole.
