Two Hattiesburg teens arrested for home invasion

SUMMARY: Two teenagers from Hattiesburg, Mississippi have been arrested in connection to a home invasion that took place in Forrest County. The suspects broke into a home belonging to a Stone County deputy, who was present at the time. When confronted by the deputy, one of the teenagers fired a shot at him but missed. The deputy managed to detain one of the teens before Forrest County deputies arrived. The second suspect was later arrested without incident. The teens are currently being held in the Forrest County Adult Detention Center and are charged with home invasion of an occupied dwelling. The investigation is ongoing.
