JPD chief asks for help in solving 2022 murder case

Ex-Pearl officer sentenced for bullying arrestee into licking urine off floor
SUMMARY: Former Pearl, Mississippi police officer Michael Christian Green was sentenced to 12 months in prison for bullying an arrestee into licking his own urine off a jail cell floor. Green, who pled guilty to a civil rights violation, was also fined $1,500 and given one year of supervised probation after release. The incident occurred on December 23, 2023, when Green arrested a Latino man and later forced him to perform the degrading act. Green captured the incident on video. He was relieved of his duties on December 27, 2023, after an internal investigation.
