Saenger, Pocket Museum boasting two, new exhibits
SUMMARY: Two new art exhibits are now open at Hattisburg Sanger theater. The first exhibit features a collection of painted violins called “First and Second” inside the theater, with two dozen instruments showcasing the work of different artists with a roaring 20s theme. The exhibit serves as a prelude to this year's Festival South. The second exhibit, “Say Cheese”, at the pocket Museum, focuses on photography with photographs from around the world and classic cameras on display. Both exhibits will be open through the end of the month, offering a variety of artistic inspiration for visitors to enjoy.

Ex-PRCC employee arrested on child exploitation charge

Interstate-59 south backed up late Wednesday afternoon by single-vehicle accident
SUMMARY: Hattisburg police are dealing with a single vehicle accident on i59 just south of West 4th Street, causing traffic to back up.
