Forrest County Supes offer update on new River Avenue Bridge

SUMMARY: More than 2700 tickets were sold for this year's raffle. The New Avenue Bridge is expected to be opened back up in 5 weeks, but county are sharing some additional updates about construction in the area. After the bridge , traffic will detour onto Dawson Cutoff that connects back to Carterville Road. A detour will remain closed for a month for additional road work. The main reason for the detour is because of the drainage that will be installed just south of Carterville and Maine at the red light. The new bridge is expected to open to traffic in the next 5 weeks as long as the weather permits.

Grenada man accused of exposing himself twice in Tupelo
