Jim Hill High School choir to perform at international competition in Bahamas

Jim Hill High School will be representing Mississippi during spring break as a group of hand-picked travel to compete in an international choir competition in the Bahamas.

A total of 32 students between the ages of 14 to 18 are planning to sing in front of numerous groups of people during the , continuing the group's tradition of showing their musical talent internationally. In prior years, the -based choir has sung at Carnegie Hall in New York, as well as choir competitions in Orlando, Florida.

Pamela Moody, the school's choir director, explained that this year, the students will be performing at several locations throughout the trip, which includes in Nassau and other in the Bahamas.

“We're taking a cruise, so we're going to sing on the ship a of times there. We're competing on the ship as well, but also, I wanted this to be an educational trip for the students,” Moody said on Good Things with Rebecca Turner. “This is…

MBI investigates inmate found dead at Lowndes County jail

SUMMARY: An inmate in the Lowndes County jail, 52-year-old Eddie Jr., was found dead in his cell after being in jail for 56 days.
