1/16 – The Chief's “Morning Wintry Mix” Tuesday Morning Forecast
SUMMARY: South Mississippi is experiencing winds and wintry mix, which is expected to end soon. Temperatures will remain below freezing until mid to late morning, with a hard freeze and windchill warnings in effect. Another cold air mass is expected for the weekend. Temperatures are forecasted to reach 34 degrees by mid-morning, with North winds at 15 to 25 mph. Overnight temperatures will drop to 17 degrees, and winds will make it feel even colder. The Mississippi Power extended forecast shows sunny conditions on Wednesday and Thursday, with rain expected on Friday morning. Weekend temperatures will remain cold.

Governor Tate Reeves proclaims Hurricane Preparedness Week
