Woman is runover in Jackson and succumbs to her injuries

5-year-old electrocuted Thursday night in West Point
SUMMARY: A 5-year-old boy was electrocuted at a sports complex in West Point but is recovering well in hospital. The incident happened at a local baseball field where it is believed the boy came into contact with an electric box on a light pole. He was alert when taken to the hospital for further testing. The West Point Police Officer has confirmed the incident and investigations are ongoing to determine the cause. The West Point water and light department has shut down the complex to ensure safety. Medgar Evers posthumously awarded Presidential Medal of Freedom

Capitol police arrest bank robbery suspect
SUMMARY: Capitol police have arrested a 46-year-old man, David Barret, in connection to a bank robbery at Trustmark bank on State Street. Barret demanded money from the teller and made off with over $700. He was apprehended and his vehicle and stolen money were recovered by the police.
