Veterans give their thoughts about the day designed to honor them
SUMMARY: Earlier this week, veterans were asked to share their perspectives on the significance of a holiday. Col. William “Lee” Henry, the commander at Camp Shelby, urged people to take a moment to thank veterans. This includes not only those currently in uniform but also veterans of past conflicts such as Vietnam, Korea, and World War II, especially the ones still with us. Pernellus Turner, a World War II veteran, emphasized the importance of remembering those who protect the country. Charles Massey, another veteran, spoke on the sacrifice of many for the country's freedom, and W.D. Dunning III mentioned the ultimate sacrifice some made for this freedom. They noted that being a free country is a primary reason many across the world aspire to come to the United States.

Prevention involves controlling blood pressure, monitoring atrial fibrillation, managing diabetes, and maintaining healthy cholesterol levels. Acting quickly can greatly improve the outcome in case of a stroke.
