Two generations of Callaway players share a special bond

SUMMARY: The Callaway Boys basketball team has received a lot of attention and accolades, but the girls team is just as strong. Two players, one from the recent past and one from the present, share a special connection that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. The girls team is equally deserving of recognition as the boys team, with prominent alumni and state titles. Both teams have made an impact on the sport and the players have formed lasting connections that will stay with them.

The Callaway girls basketball program has had success a number of standout players from Juanita Ward to Alisa Ross to now Jahanna Willson. Ross and Wilson have one major things in common they are both Dandy Dozens. The big difference is that Ross earned the honor in 2011 but it wasn't until 12 years later that another Charger in Wilson got the accolade. The two connected during practice and Ross is proud that a fellow Charger was recognized the same way as her but she wants Wilson and the current Charger team to further than she did and finally bring home a gold ball.
