Tupelo Airport one of several in Mississippi that received bomb threats

Columbus citizens voting Tuesday on school bond issue
SUMMARY: Columbus residents are voting on a $36 million bond issue for the Columbus Municipal School district, which would go towards repairs and safety upgrades in school buildings. Voters to decide on Lamar County school bond
SUMMARY: Today, voters in Lamar County are deciding on whether to approve a $117 million bond for the Lamar County School District. The funds will be used to construct new Summerall High School, Oak Grove Middle School, and Pis High School. Property taxes may increase by around $25 per year for a $100,000 home if the bond is approved. The polls will remain open until 7:00 this evening for residents to cast their votes on the referendum.
