SUMMARY: As summer approaches, experts predict that gas prices for vacations and activities will remain relatively stable to last year. The national average for regular gas is $3.65 per gallon, with Mississippi's average at $3.38. Prices have been fluctuating but overall stabilizing post-pandemic. AAA spokesman suggests that if oil prices continue trending, drivers can expect similar prices at the pump as last year. In the Pine Belt area, the lowest gas prices can be found in Jones, Hington, Jasper, and counties at slightly below $3 per gallon. Despite previous fluctuations, gas prices are expected to remain consistent into the summer.

As the summertime quickly approaches, some folks will be spending extra money on gas for vacations and other activities.
