Hancock Lady Hawks drop game 1 of state championship series 2-1
SUMMARY: High school softball state championships began today at Southern Miss with three teams competing for the title. Hancock High School played against South Penola Lady Tigers in a close game, ultimately losing 2-1. Both teams had strong performances with key plays and runs in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings. The Lady Hawks will have a chance to redeem themselves in game two on Thursday and potentially force a game three on Saturday.
