SUMMARY: The weather report sponsored by Mroy Seafood Restaurant indicates that the fog is lifting and there will be plenty of sunshine in the area. The fog advisory is in effect until 9:00 AM, and cooler temperatures are expected along the eastern side of Highway 49. The temperatures are in the 40s with warmer conditions on the western side. The forecast shows partly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching a high of 68 degrees and dropping to mid-50s overnight. There is a possibility of a few showers on Thursday night into Friday morning, but overall, sunny conditions are expected through the weekend with temperatures in the low 70s.

The Shuckers scored two more runs in the fourth inning and went on to shut out the Biscuits for a 5-0 victory, their fifth shutout win of the year.

SUMMARY: The city of Discovery in Jackson County Ocean Springs is hosting the Taste of Ocean Springs Food and Wine Festival, with restaurants setting up booths at the l&n Depot for people to sample delicious treats. The festival is happening tonight from 6-8:30 p.m. Tickets are required for entry. In addition, Cruisin on the Coast, voted the best car event in the country, recently won USA Today's 10 Best Reader Choice Awards for 2024. The event, which started in 1996 with 374 vintage vehicles, broke records in 2023 with over 10,000 registered cruisers from 45 states, Canada, England, and Germany. The award is seen as a testament to the hard work put in over the years.

The Taste of Ocean Springs Food and Wine Festival is happening Thursday night at the L&N Depot.

SUMMARY: This week is the South State titles for High School baseball and softball. The first game began with Ocean Springs facing Northwest Frank. The Lady Cougars initially took the lead but were denied by the lady Greyhounds. Despite loading the bases, Ocean Springs couldn't score. Northwest Frank's Brook Smith hit a two-run shot, extending their lead to six. They ultimately defeated Ocean Springs 11-2 in game one. The games are taking place outside of Jackson, with intense competition for both teams fighting for the title. The series will determine the South State champions in both baseball and softball.
