Samples show no E. coli in Jackson’s water, officials say
SUMMARY: The JXN Water Department has refuted claims from the State Department of Health that there were traces of E. coli in the city's water system. Six repeat samples taken from the location that reportedly had positive results were sent to state labs and all six samples came back negative, indicating no presence of E. coli. The JXN Water Department will continue to conduct sampling of all 120 sample locations to meet the state Department of Health's requirements for lifting the boil water notice.
