Raekwon Davis hosts Rae’s Elves Christmas Relief
SUMMARY: Diamond Paylor of Community News 11 is live in the studio with Meridian native and current Miami Dolphins player Raekwon Davis, who hosted an annual Christmas relief event at the Meridian Housing Authority. Five families and children of public housing received wish list Christmas gifts on behalf of the former Meridian Wildcat. Davis said it felt great to help kids and families and bring up the Christmas spirit around the city. Although he was unable to attend due to a Sunday night match-up against the Dallas Cowboys, Davis still found a way to make Christmas extra special for those in his community.
5 Meridian Housing Authority families and children of public housing received wish list gifts on behalf of Raekwon Davis, an MHS Alumni.

ICC graduation held on Friday
SUMMARY: Graduation season is here, a special day for students celebrating their hard work and achievement. WTV Jake White reported live from the ICC campus in Tupelo, where the energy was incredible. Graduates expressed happiness at finally walking across the stage after years of hard work. The event was packed with new grads and their loved ones at the Davis Event Center. Some graduates shared their feelings of accomplishment and gratitude towards their teachers and peers. State House speaker Jason White also congratulated the graduates. Overall, it was a day of celebration and pride for all the college graduates.
Students from the Itawamba Community College graduated on Friday.

VIDEO: Northern Lights in North Mississippi

Students in New Albany take a tour of the city
SUMMARY: Over 200 third graders from New Albany Elementary and East Union Attendance Center in Union County went on a downtown tour to visit local businesses and learn about different occupations. The annual school field trip gave students the opportunity to understand the roles that businesses play in their community. They visited various establishments to gain insights into different jobs and the importance of each business in the area. The tour allowed the students to connect classroom learning to real-world experiences and explore the diverse career opportunities available in their community.
