Police investigating after 16-year-old shot in Pascagoula

SUMMARY: Last night in Pascagoula, shots were fired near Ocean Springs just after a football scrimmage. One witness on Facebook reported hearing up to eight gunshots. One of the shots struck a 16-year-old student from Ocean Springs. The victim is currently receiving medical treatment, but the extent of their injuries is unknown. Police received a 911 call and rushed to Tucker Avenue, which is steps away from where the football scrimmage took place. The police are still gathering information and have not yet confirmed the details of the incident.

Pascagoula Police announced a 16-year-old was shot Friday night near Pascagoula High School.
