Phi Theta Kappa students at MGCCC unveils new book to teach children local history
SUMMARY: Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and Lyn Meadows Discovery Center are collaborating to teach children about the Coast's rich history. Students from the Omicron Alpha chapter of Theta Kappa at MGCCC's Harrison County Campus will unveil their new children's book, “Sand Castles and Seawalls,” which highlights the architecture and design of play along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The students will read to children, host a book signing, and donate the books to local school libraries, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations for distribution. The project was part of their Omega Alpha chapter's research question and aimed to take advantage of the Gulf Coast's 26-mile man-made beach.

Health Corner: Osteoporosis Awareness & Prevention Month with Dr. Inez Kelleher
SUMMARY: May is Osteoporosis Awareness and Prevention Month, with Dr. Kellerer from Memorial Health discussing signs, risk factors, and treatment options for osteoporosis.
