Perry County elected officials sworn
SUMMARY: New Perry County leaders have officially been sworn in after being “on duty” tonight. Trey Howard caught up with the new sheriff and county supervisor, who discussed their goals in their new roles. They were officially sworn in tonight at the Perry County Courthouse, while a singing of “God Bless America” opened the ceremony. Jacob Garner, the new sheriff, is ready for his new position and says he's still adjusting to his role. He is focused on building a department that can make an impact on Perry County. Robert Myers, the new district one supervisor, is also excited about his new role and the chance to give back as a public servant. The county leaders also honored the longest-reigning supervisor in county history, Bobby Ray.

The Temple Theater hosts the 71st annual Jimmie Rodgers Music Festival
SUMMARY: The 71st annual Jimmy Rogers Music Festival continued tonight at the temple theater with a sold-out show featuring the Red Clay Strays, Heartless Bastards, and the LA Thorton Band. Due to rainy weather, the festival was moved from the max to the temple. Main Street director Matt Shanrock said they booked the bands last year and have seen a surge in popularity since January. Tomorrow's event will feature Trey Lewis and other artists, with good weather forecasted for an outdoor show at the max. Tickets are still available for tomorrow's performance, promising a night of great music and fun.
The Red Clay Strays, Heartless Bastards, and the Lach Thornton Band were all in attendance as each of them performed their hit songs at the Temple Theater.
