PACCAR to create 100 jobs with $209M expansion at Columbus facility

SUMMARY: PACCAR, a global automotive technology company, is investing $209.4 million to expand its facility in Columbus, Mississippi, creating 100 in the area. The expansion includes adding manufacturing operations to the existing facility and increasing operations to meet future emissions requirements for diesel engines. PACCAR has produced over 300,000 PACCAR MX Engines at its Columbus factory since 2010 and the expansion will the remanufacturing of these engines, extending their lifespan. The Mississippi Authority (MDA), Lowndes County, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and 4 County Electric are providing assistance for the . Construction is expected to start in December 2023.
