SUMMARY: Oklahoma offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby is expected to be named Mississippi State's next head football coach, according to Yahoo Sports. Lebby's Sooners led the Big 12 in points per game and passing yards per game this season, ranking 13th in the College Football Playoff's Top 25 Poll. Lebby has previously been the offensive coordinator at Ole Miss and UCF, as well as Southeastern's offensive coordinator in 2017. Lebby and Mississippi State Athletic Director Zac Selmon have ties to Oklahoma, with Selmon being from Norman and Lebby having played for OU.
