Mississippi’s Primary Election is one week away. Here’s what you should know
SUMMARY: Mississippians are reminded to be prepared for the upcoming Primary Election Day on August 8. Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Absentee voting deadlines for both in-person and mail-in ballots are provided. Voters are required to show photo identification at the polls, and campaigning within 150 feet of a polling place is prohibited. Voters are also prohibited from taking pictures of their marked ballot. State observers will be monitoring problems at the polls, which will be referred to the appropriate authorities if necessary.
