Mississippi Lottery Debuts Powerball Double Play Feature
SUMMARY: A new add-on feature called Double Play will be added to Powerball, giving players an additional chance to win with a top cash prize of $10 million. Starting on Nov. 5, players can purchase Powerball tickets with the Double Play option for an extra dollar. The Double Play drawing will occur approximately 30 minutes after the Powerball drawing. Players will play the same set of numbers in both drawings, and tickets with the Double Play feature will be eligible to win prizes in both drawings. The Power Play option will remain unchanged, allowing players to increase their winnings for all prize levels, except the jackpot.

SUMMARY: One man, Joshua Bennet, was killed in a shooting at a Jackson gas station. The incident occurred at a Shell gas station on West Northside Drive on May 17. An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting, but has not been identified. Detective Tommie Brown confirmed the arrest.
