A small chance of afternoon showers exists. Friday is dry; Saturday brings a cold front with spotty showers, followed by cooler, drier air Sunday and Monday. Tropical activity is likely, with the next storm named Gabrielle.

Interview: Bodock Festival set for Sept. 12-13 in Pontotoc
