www.youtube.com – WXXV 25 – 2025-07-03 11:49:18

SUMMARY: The 4th of July celebrations come with important safety precautions. In Buxy, fireworks are usually illegal except on special occasions like Independence Day. Police Lieutenant Candace Young advises treating fireworks as explosives, keeping children from using them, and staying in safe, clear areas away from people and houses. Fireworks can distress pets, so bring animals indoors to prevent them from fleeing. Boaters should avoid designated fireworks-free zones in the sound and never operate a boat under the influence. A detailed map of restricted areas is available on Buxy’s website. Expect heavy traffic near the official fireworks show along Beach Boulevard.
