LIVE: Blake Brannon breaks down the Biloxi Shuckers job fair
SUMMARY: Personal help for attorneys at law for personal injuries is being offered in Biloxi by Maloney, Lyon's attorneys at law. The Biloxi Shuckers are hosting a job fair for game day positions as well as other jobs. This event will run until about 6:30 PM today, and there will still be opportunities to apply for a number of positions on site. For those who cannot make it to the event, applications are being accepted by the front office at MGM park or through email. More information will be available on WLOX's website later tonight.

Senior Community Service Employment Program working to bring out best in senior citizens
SUMMARY: The senior community service employment program aims to help older job seekers find employment opportunities. It started in 1965 and is funded by both federal and state governments. Participants must be at least 55 years old, have an annual income below $119,000, and be unemployed. They are assigned to work at nonprofit agencies or government offices for on-the-job training, with the hope of being hired part-time or full-time after a year. Those interested can contact the program via phone to learn more and see if they qualify. Self-fulfillment and giving back are key motivators for participants in this program.

Police departments host events in honor of fallen officers
SUMMARY: Today, more law enforcement agencies are honoring fallen heroes with ceremonies and events as part of Police Week. The Buxy Police Department held a fallen officer ceremony to remember and recognize the courage and bravery of those who made the ultimate sacrifice. A first responder breakfast in Ocean Springs provided an opportunity for the community to show appreciation for those who rush to their aid during emergencies. The event allowed residents to meet with police and fire chiefs to learn about future plans and developments within the departments. The goal was to honor and support those who serve and protect the community.

Billy Creel Wooden Boat Show
SUMMARY: Elizabeth Alexander from the seafood and Maritime Industry Museum talks about an upcoming boat show in South Mississippi. The show will feature beautifully restored boats, including the 1923 Van Albert Lee and the 1928 Motor Yacht Bonan. Visitors can board the boats, hear their stories, and enjoy activities and vendors. The show will also feature Schooner sails, fried fish and shrimp plates, and live music. Admission is $8 for adults, $3 for students 13-18, and free for children 12 and under. The event promises to be a fun, family-friendly time rain or shine.
