Alleged gunman behind Mother’s Day triple homicide in Ridgeland killed by police in Arizona
SUMMARY: The primary suspect in a Mother's Day triple homicide in Ridgeland, Ivory James Welch III, was shot and killed by police in Arizona. The Ridgeland Police Chief confirmed Welch as the gunman who killed Crystal Lynn Welch, Vicky Renee Welch, and Ida Thomas Welch in a home at 7146 Old Canton Road. An arrest warrant was issued, and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force searched for Welch. Authorities cornered him in Arizona where he fired at troopers and was killed in return fire.
