Jxn Water: Where We Are Now
SUMMARY: In the capital city, residents are seeing major changes in the water system a year after JXN Water took over. People in the Forest Hill neighborhood are excited about improvements in water pressure, as they had been experiencing issues for the past 5-7 years. JXN Water spokesperson, Ameerah Palacios, says around 150 customers were moved to a well water system, resulting in a 20 P-S-I increase in water pressure. JXN Water is making progress in repairing pipes and main breaks to improve the system. They are also focusing on increasing revenue collection from the water system to pay for sewer repairs. No water has been cut off yet, but that may change this fall. Customers can report main breaks or get updates on the water system by calling JXN Waters' 24-hour call center. There will also be a JXN Water quarterly public meeting on November 4th to discuss the progress of both the water and sewer systems.
