Southern Miss baseball rallies to defeat Ole Miss

Cicadas, cicadas everywhere: How they are helpful

However, for residents living near wooded areas, the cicadas' loud singing can be a nuisance. Experts say the cicadas will start to clear out in early June. Despite the annoyance, the cicadas serve as a natural phenomenon that offers educational opportunities and a chance to learn more about their life cycle. Gabe Mayor from WTV A9 News reported on the noisy bugs.
The cicadas are screaming, and though it may be annoying, one school says they are a helpful tool.
