Jackson councilman calls for street to be repaired
SUMMARY: Residents on Jackson‘s Mobile Avenue express dissatisfaction with a street resurfacing project, originally promised five years ago. Councilman Ken Stokes highlighted the uneven pavement and damage from previous sewer line replacements, which were never fixed. Despite Mobile Avenue being listed for repaving in a 2023 project, it remains untouched while other streets have been completed. Stokes noted that Mobile Avenue is ranked 16th out of 31 streets scheduled for resurfacing. He plans to address the issue at the upcoming city council meeting, seeking action for the neglected repairs and resurfacing.
